Newburyport MA Wedding – Makeup by Nancy and her favorite things Part 7
This past winter, Newburyport MA Wedding Photographer Alison Ebacher of Ebacher Photographer approached me an Amesbury wedding makeup artist about a blog idea and I was so on board!
When booking your wedding vendors, it’s always nice to know a little bit about them before you meet. Especially your day of wedding beauty team who will be with you in the same room for the whole day before you get into your wedding gown!
So now I give to you the 7th installment of Nancy’s favorite things!
I LOVE my FitBit! I love to walk, when I can, which hasn’t been much lately, motivation searching!
A few years ago I was at the top of my game. I lost a ton of weight and I was in the best shape of my life. I even won a fitness challenge with the Ideal Shape up Challenge and here’s my story on that.
Then it all came crashing down. I had a hernia repair surgery that set me back 6 weeks and I couldn’t lift over 10lbs and had to limit my movements.
Then I could finally walk again and we ended up having a horrible winter so I couldn’t walk outside. I joined a gym and wasn’t doing too bad, but I started developing a sciatic nerve problem and using a Bosu too much didn’t help. Then my allergies and asthma kicked in, then a stress fracture in my foot along with Cellulitis that was so painful I would never with that upon my worst enemy.
I recovered from this then I had another allergy and asthma spell followed up by a pinched nerve and then an Acute Cervical Strain. Mind you, through all of this in 2016 I still managed to complete 52 weddings.
But it looks like I totally forgot how to take care of myself.
So… as they say… “The Buck Stops Here”
Once I finish recovering from my current sciatic nerve problem. I’ll be starting all over again. It’s not going to be easy, but I’m going to be even more successful than I was the 1st time around. So to all of my bridal parties! I’m going to “Just Say No” to all the cookies and treats! But thank you for asking 🙂
Please wish me luck! I need all the support I can get!
