5 Fall Makeup Looks Perfect for Thanksgiving

5 Fall Makeup Looks Perfect for Thanksgiving

With fall in full swing and Thanksgiving fast approaching, there’s no better time to discuss my top 5 fall makeup looks that are perfect for spending the holiday with family, “Friendsgiving”, and all of the season’s other festivities! In this post, I’ll cover the spectrum of natural to glam, as well as sultry to soft, to provide a wide variety to choose from.

  • Bold & Beautiful

With this concept, bold (but not overdone) brows are best. For the eyes, use brown, neutral and cranberry tones (such as those in the Lorac Unzipped palette), and precise eyeliner. For the face, use your choice of contour, blush, bronzer, and/or highlighter. Pair with lip liner and a neutral or brown-toned lipstick (think Urban Decay’s 1993 lipstick!) for the perfect finishing touch.

  • Glam & Festive

Emphasize the eyes and lips here. Natural smokey eyes and eyeliner with a pop of white highlight in the inner corners of the eyes looks divine! Lightly use bronzer, blush, and a soft highlight on the cheeks. Gently fill in the brows, and finish with a flattering red lipstick.

Dark & Sultry

Use darker eye shadows (eyeliner is optional), bold brows, hints

of bronzer, and the perfect shade of dark lipstick. Lipstick shade suggestions include deep red, stunning plum or violet (such as MAC Cosmetics’ Smoked Purple), captivatingly deep brown, and even black for a gorgeous end result.

  • Natural & Soft

This choice is appropriate for all fall events. Pair a brownish mauve lipstick with soft brown eyeshadow, lightly filled in brows, your choice of bronzer, blush, and/or highlighter, as

well as a few coats of mascara to become an autumnal goddess.

  • “No Makeup” Makeup

Perfect for makeup beginners, teenagers, and those who are on-the-go. I recommend using a soft BB cream or tinted moisturizer, a hint of blush, light brows, a coat or two of mascara, and a subtle lip gloss or lipstick. Tip: you can also try a hint of eyeliner to add emphasis to your eyes.

No matter which option you choose, I’m sure you’ll look amazing this season! As the leaves fall, the weather gets colder, and amazing memories are made with friends, family, and loved ones, it’s the perfect time of year to try new things, explore different makeup, and create looks that you love!

Thanks for reading; stay cozy and enjoy the holiday season!
