Winter Makeup Looks to keep you smiling bright all winter long

Winter is here! You know what that means: with the winter season, so comes the corresponding
makeup ideas; the classic “Ice Queen”, bold and festive, natural but glam, and glowy hydrated
looks that emphasize your beauty and make you feel divine.

Keep reading for my top 4 favorite winter makeup ideas to keep you smiling bright all winter
long!:

1. The “Ice Queen”

Also referred to as “frosty” makeup. I find that this is the most stunning on people with blue or light eyes, though I feel that pretty much everyone can pull this look off. It includes natural but filled in brows, blue-grey cool toned eyeshadow, a bit of eyeliner and mascara, a little bronzer, blush, and highlighter (very light here), and a light pink (almost skin-toned) lipstick or lipgloss to finish it off.

2. The Bold and Festive

One of my personal favorites! The best way to complete this look is through a sultry smokey eye, a little liner and definitely lashes, and the best part: an alluring and mysterious red lipstick. This can range from cranberry, to burgundy, to even fire-engine red.

3. The Natural but Glam

During the New Year, you’re likely to be so busy that you don’t have time to do a full face. From sticking to resolutions, as well as attending parties and social gatherings, life is usually a blur at this time! If this is the case, I recommend opting for neutral makeup. Soft eye shadow, a little bit of eyeliner + mascara, your favorite long-lasting lipstick, a little contour, gently filled-in brows, and voilà! You’re all ready to go out in under an hour.

4. The Glowy, Hydrated Look

Hydration is incredibly important during this time of year. I always recommend straying away from cakey, matte makeup at this time – especially when you have to take it all off at the end of the day.

The glowy, hydrated look includes very light makeup in natural, neutral tones, your favorite moisturizer or oil, as well as chapstick or tinted lip balm. Think “no makeup makeup”, but
for the purpose of preventing or hydrating dry skin.

Whether you spice it up for New Years or keep it simple for going out with friends, you’re sure to feel gorgeous in all of these winter makeup ideas. Remember: the best cosmetic is always confidence! 😉
