Makeup for different face shape

Beauty they say is in the eyes of the beholder, that might be true to some extent. The makeup and contouring knowledge that has abounded in the last few years might make you want to review your stance on that though. Kim Kardashian may have been the heroine behind the contouring magic, the art has been on long before she came on the scene. That aside here is how to go about contouring your face to look like the beauty you are. And this is not a matter of your face type.

Know your face shape Beautyface shape

It will astonish you to find out that a number of people do not know the shape of their faces, and that is a huge problem. Before you can begin a journey to contouring your face, you should first know the shape of your face as this will dictate how to contour your face to achieve the beauty you desire. You may not be able to determine your face shape; you should contact a makeup artist to do that for you.

Based on the shape of your face, here is how to get contouring right:

Round face

A number of ladies have round face and the secret to effectively contouring round faces and transforming them into a beauty lies in the ability of the makeup artist to cast shadows. You would first want to suck in your cheeks to find out the face hollows that you have. Once you find this out, you can then apply your contouring shade just a little above it. You must blend your contouring shade to achieve a nice result.

Oval face Beauty

The close sister to the round face is equally a stunning beauty in the hands of contouring experts. As it combines both elements of square and circle, the oval face shape can be contoured from the hairline to the hollow of the cheekbone. The shading should be done lightly; this will allow the contouring not to taken for a beard.

The aim of contouring is to give your face a lot of angles, with the beauty referred to as a heart face, you need not go for much of contouring. The shape already offers your face a lot of great angles, you just need to work right with that. You should want to start contouring from the bone of your cheeks and spreading it up and out.

Triangular face

The triangular face is a great sculpted face shape and you should not spend too much of time contouring that. You would instead want to spend time on highlighting the high point on your face to bring the beauty to limelight instead of contouring when you already have the right face outlook.

It’s time to get out and get your contouring right. If you don’t get it right, who will? We all know the answer to that of course, your makeup artist will get it right.
